Paul Carlin Outstanding Community Leadership Award

Introduced in 2010 and renamed in 2017, this Award recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution through outstanding leadership to the Carlton precinct, and, in particular, it’s “Caring for Carlton” Community Program.  Paul’s insight and vision has engaged and inspired people around him. These qualities further demonstrate the core values of Rotary International namely: Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity and Leadership.

The winning recipient receives a donation of $1,000 to the local community organisation of their choice.

In 2022/2023 This award was presented to Professor David Forrest for his work with St Vincent de Paul Parkville Conference.

Paul Carlin

Paul Carlin joined the Rotary Club of Carlton in 2002 and demonstrated outstanding leadership across a wide range of portfolios over 15 years of dedicated service.  His commitment, dedication, loyalty and positivity was respected by all Rotarians both at Club and District 9800 level, as well as his network of friends that he influenced and nurtured.  Paul was a Past President of Carlton Rotary (2009 - 2010) and in 2015 he received a Paul Harris Fellowship for outstanding service to Rotary.  The Rotary Club of Carlton Outstanding Leadership Award was re-named in Paul’s honour following his untimely passing in 2017.
